Horse-riding in Terelj National Park
A short stopover offers a good sample of the local culture, old and new lifestyles as well as riding Mongolian horses in the countryside. Spending a short day in UB for introductory city tour, drive to nearby park for a pleasant hike, a visit to nomadic family and ride horses for an hour or two. Terelj National Park, in the evening, creates an artistic panorama of angled rocks, orange and purple shades, all very dramatic with the cloud shapes and in the heat of summer, the evening is the best time for a stroll.

Itinerary
Day1. Terelj National Park
Pick up and start driving to Terelj National Park. En-route you will visit the 45m tall Grand statue of Chinggis Khan. Continue drive to Terelj National Park. Upon arrival have lunch and visit nomadic family. Start riding the horses to Turtle rock and Aryapala meditation temple. Upon arrival at the entrance of the meditation temple say goodbye to the horses and start trekking to the meditation temple. You will enjoy the beautiful landscape of Terelj National Park from the temple. Transfer back to the ger camp. Overnight in a ger camp. (L/D)
Day2. Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast start driving back to Ulaanbaatar. (B)
