Guaranteed Departure NAADAM

Tour starts with an introductory trip in Ulaanbaatar city and head towards Gobi via middle Gobi. Two-night at the most panoramic landscapes of Middle Gobi while driving through the vastness of the steppe, arrival at the renowned Valley of Yol for a pleasant hike and bird watching.
Trip continues to the different spectaculars of the Gobi land with an impressive sand dune that sings and changes its color, the Flaming cliff that looks like a burning fire in the sunset and Ongi, the energy centre. Driving further up north, Karakorum has quite some to offer: Erdenezuu Monastery with its over hundred stupas and the traces of ancient Karakorum, the capital of Mongol Empire. The countryside tour ends after a night stop by the Hustai National Park for the wild horses. Packing and shopping in UB for the last day.

Day1. Arrival 9th of July
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Rest and enjoy lunch. Visit National history museum and Sukhbaatar square.

Day2. Terelj National Park 10th of July
Breakfast at the hotel and start driving to Grand statue of Chinggis Khan. Visit the statue and drive to Terelj National Park. Upon arrival in Terelj, enjoy lunch. Visit Turtle rock and Aryapala meditation temple. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon.

Day3. Naadam festival 11th of July
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to central stadium for the opening ceremony. Full day at the festival ground.

Day4. Hustai National Park 12th of July
Breakfast at the hotel and start driving to Hustai National Park. En-route make a stop at Hui 7 Hudag and watch horse racing. Continue drive and arrive in Hustai National Park. Enjoy lunch. Visit small museum and watch short video about the re-introduction activity on the Przewalski horse. Drive deep into the national park in-search for the Przewalski.

Day5. Karakorum 13th of July
Breakfast at the ger camp and start driving to Karakorum. Enjoy lunch upon arrival. Visit Erdenezuu monastery and Karakorum museum. Visit nomadic family and learn about their daily lifestyle.

Day6. Ongi monastery 14th of July
Breakfast at the ger camp and start driving to Ongi monastery. This day you will notice the landscape changes as you are driving into Gobi desert from the Khangai mountains. Upon arrival enjoy lunch and visit the ruins of the Ongi monastery.

Day7. Hongor sand dunes 15th of July
Breakfast at the ger camp and start driving to Hongor sand dunes. En-route visit Flaming cliffs. Visit information center and watch short documentary about Roy Chapman Andrews trip in the Gobi desert. Enjoy lunch and continue drive to Hongor sand dunes. Upon arrival visit Duut manhan which is the highest sand dune.

Day.8 Valley of Yol 16th of July
Breakfast at the ger camp and start driving to Valley of Yol. Arrive at the ger camp and enjoy lunch. Drive and arrive at the valley. Short trekking inside the valley.

Day9. Baga gazarii chuluu 17th of July
Enjoy breakfast and start driving to Baga gazariin chuluu. En-route make a stop at Dalanzadgad and visit Natural history museum. Continue drive to Baga gazarii chuluu. Enjoy lunch on the way. Arrive and visit the granite rock formations.

Day10. Ulaanbaatar 18th of July
Breakfast at the ger camp and start driving to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival visit Bogd Khan winter palace and Zaisan memorial hill. Enjoy folklore show before dinner.
